Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is confident of Sergio Aguero making a full recovery from his injury.

Pellegrini is confident Sergio Aguero will make a full recovery from knee-ligament injury and continue his outstanding form from the first half of the campaign.

The Argentine saw the second half of last season disrupted by injury, but Pellegrini said: "Sergio had a different injury last year. He had two or three different muscle injuries.

"The injury he has now in his knee was very unlucky - he just slipped and that caused the damage to his ligament. I hope that will be the last injury that he has because he worked very well this season."
