Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says Wilfried Bony will be better for his first start in midweek.
Bony featured in the win over Leicester City.
He was hauled off after 70 minutes to be replaced by James Milner, who had one shot on target and scored with it.
Pellegrini doesn't appear to be worried and he said: "It was important for him to start the game from the beginning.
"He was just having some minutes in the last games and he is just arriving also from the African Cup where he played a lot of games.
"It was better for (Bony) to score, but it was important for him to start the game and it was also important for him to have some chances. I think that he worked the whole game."
