Man City boss Pellegrini: Aguero yet to reach peak

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is adamant Sergio Aguero is far from his peak.

Aguero has had a stop start season through injury, but has still managed to net an impressive 28 times.

Pellegrini, asked if Aguero can be better next season, said: "Yes, I think so. He is 26-years-old. He must get better because he has so many qualities.

"He has done incredibly well because he's an incredible player. One of the most important things about big players is to think they can always improve.

"I'm sure he believes he can improve. For me, he is one of the best five players in the world. For most players their best performances are between 25 and 30.

"But if a player can maintain his performances, then I don't think being 30-years-old makes him an old player. It is important for him to believe he can do it better.

"There are a lot of things that you can try to improve. The way he makes a movement. The amount of movements he makes. The time he participates in the play. That sort of thing.

"It is not only about scoring although to score is the most important thing."
