Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has confessed his admiration for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

Ramos is a target for Manchester United, though City are also keen.

Pellegrini, who worked with Ramos when he was Real boss in 2009-10, praised the 29-year-old when asked about the star names in Spain and he said: "Luis Suarez, (Sergio) Busquets, (Andres) Iniesta and Sergio Ramos are on a very high level.

“In Spain there are the best teams in the world. But the best is the English league."
