Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is considering an audacious move for Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic. The Sun says Mancini wants a new centre-half signed up during the summer market and Serbia international Vidic is his No1 choice.

However, although there have been signs Vidic has been examining transfer possibilities, he would prefer a switch to Spain if he quits Old Trafford.
