Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini will not budge from his stand in freezing out £70 million worth of talent.
Mancini is determined to push ahead with his squad-building plans and has indicated that he is ready to leave senior outcasts kicking its heels on the sidelines for a season if they cannot find new clubs.
Mancini will not back down on his decision to leave Craig Bellamy, Emmanuel Adebayor, Wayne Bridge, Roque Santa Cruz and Nedum Onuoha out of his 25-man Premier League and Champions League squads, says the Manchester Evening News.
Bellamy has a year to run on his £90,000-a-week contract and, with City refusing to pay it up to release him early, has indicated that he will see the season out.
City are confident goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon's work permit will clear in time for Monday¹s opener against Swansea. The Romanian international, 24, agreed a deal last week to sign from FC Timisoara for £1.6m.
