Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was upset with Gareth Barry's dismissal in defeat to Liverpool.
The England international was dismissed for a second bookable offence after blocking Daniel Agger's run in the 72nd minute.
"I did not agree with the referee for the second yellow card," Mancini said.
"I didn't understand. I watched the games on Monday and there were a lot of tackles without yellow cards.
"You play one important game like this and we lose one player for nothing."
