Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is eyeing Wolfsburg defender Simon Kjaer.

The Dane spent last season on-loan at AS Roma, but a permanent deal has now been scrapped.

Mancini wants City to make an offer for Kjaer, who is available from Wolfsburg this summer. He is viewed by Mancini as an alternative to Liverpool defender Dan Agger.
