Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko is wanted by Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
Sissoko has been a long-term target for Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.
However, the Daily Star Sunday says Mancini is weighing up making a £15 million offer for Sissoko.
The Italian is keen on a new midfield signing this month and has also been linked with Bayern Munich veteran Mark van Bommel.
