Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is set to land Malaga winger Isco in January.
The Mail on Sunday says City are poised to splurge £17.5million on playmaker Isco in January, before loaning the Spaniard back to Malaga for the rest of the season.
City's new director of football Txiki Begiristain has discovered that Malaga are seeking to extend the 20-year-old's current deal at Estadio La Rosaleda, which would likely raise his release fee to in excess of £30million.
City manager Roberto Mancini is hoping to wrap up the deal in next month's transfer window, adding another creative midfielder to his star-studded squad.
