Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has held crisis talks with his players.

The Sun says the Italian was furious at the way his team flopped in the 3-1 defeat to Ajax in Amsterdam on Wednesday and told them so in a no-holds-barred meeting.

But he could now face a backlash with several players unhappy at getting blamed when they felt the manager’s tactics were at fault.

Tensions ran high during the get-together at Carrington as they tried to find out what went so badly wrong against the Dutch champions.
