Man City boss Mancini praises QPR keeper Cesar

QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar has received high praise from Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.

The Brazilian gloveman pulled off a number of brilliant saves, including a superb first-half stop to deny Gareth Barry, as City were held to a scoreless draw at Loftus Road and his performance did not go unnoticed by his former Inter Milan boss.

"Julio Cesar saved everything and we made some mistakes - on another day maybe we could have scored four goals," the Italian said.

"Julio is one of the top goalkeepers in the world and he saved his team and I'm very happy for him because I know him very well - even though I'm so disappointed for us.

"I bought him when he was young for nothing and he did very well with me at Inter."
