Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini had praise for Mario Balotelli after victory over Sunderland.
The Italian striker has courted controversy for the past fortnight off the pitch.
But Mancini was pleased with the youngster's performance yesterday and told City's website: "Mario was much better today, he worked hard for the team, was strong and didn't get involved with the referee or opposition and concentrated on what he needed to do.
"He was perfect, but the whole team played very well."
