Man City boss Mancini pleased to grind out win at Wigan
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was pleased to grind out their 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic last night.
Edin Dzeko's first-half header was enough to see City overcome their rock-bottom hosts.
Mancini said: "It was about the victory not the performance tonight.
"I was nervous when it was still 1-0 but that's normal, every player and manager is nervous."
Mancini hopes Dzeko can build on the goal.
He added on Sky Sports 1: "I'm very happy for him because he deserved to score a goal. He scored this very important goal for us and I hope he continues it in the next game." "It was really important to win tonight. We knew that was difficult because Wigan this month have played very well and Roberto Martinez is a fantastic manager.
