Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is determined to keep David Silva away from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Mancini has indicated his intention to offer the 26-year-old a new deal.

Speaking about Silva's new contract, Mancini said: "It's important. After May, I think that we need to start to talk for a new contract, for sure."
