Manchester City haven't given up on landing AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

The midfield ace is off contract in June, though hinted an announcement was due to be made after defeat for Italy against Uruguay.

Calciomercato.it says City scout Carlo Cancellieri has admitted they've been tracking De Rossi since the summer and manager Roberto Mancini would love to take him to Etihad.

Indeed, Mancini is willing to wait until June to take De Rossi on a Bosman such is his confidence of convincing the Italian about moving abroad.
