Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is keeping an eye on the waistline of his No2 David Platt.

The Mirror says City fans who sit near the club's bench are increasingly amused by Mancini's habit of munching on Fruit Pastilles during matches.

He shares his sweets with coach Brian Kidd but wisely never gives one to the increasingly portly assistant boss Platt.
