Manchester City striker Roberto Mancini is confident Mario Balotelli is unaffected after giving evidence in a mafia trial home in Italy.
Balotelli was called to give evidence to prosecutors after it emerged that he was taken on a guided tour of the notorious Scampia district of Naples by mobsters.
The 21-year-old travelled to Italy on the same flight as City's Champions League opponents Napoli following Wednesday's 1-1 draw and returned to training on Friday.
Asked if the court case would be a distraction for player, Mancini said: "For him no. He's back in today for training.
"I'm not worried about Mario. In the last four weeks he didn't play but he's worked very well. I'm sure that he can have a good season.
"I've been impressed with his attitude. I'm not sure he can change in four weeks but he's worked very well even though he hasn't played.
"We have improved the team and this can be good for Mario. He will have more chance because he can play as a striker or a winger."
