Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini admits he is delighted to be working with striker Carlos Tevez.
Mancini watched hat-trick hero Tevez destroy Blackburn at Eastlands on Monday - then admitted he tried to buy him two years ago.
"I don't know the whole story," said Mancini of Tevez's move controversial move from the red to the blue half of the city.
"But when I was in Italy and watched him on TV I thought Carlos was a good player.
"I wanted him to come to Inter. I asked about him. But of course, there was no chance because he was at United.
"To score three goals, three very good goals, for us is very special but everyone knows how good he is."
