Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is well aware just how vital it is for his club to secure some silverware very soon.
The Eastlands club meet crosstown rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final tomorrow giving them the chance to play-off for their first trophy in 35 years.
Mancini believes that just one piece of silverware can spark a run for City, like it did for United when they took out the 1990 FA Cup, - their first trophy in more than two decades.
"I have respect for Manchester United because they have won everything for many years," he said.
"To begin with, they won a single trophy after a long time with nothing. Now we are in the same position.
"We can go on to do what United have done. We have a chance on Saturday and for this we should be happy."
