Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is happy to be playing their charity match at Genoa this week.
The match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, commonly referred to as Marassi, will take place on Wednesday February 8 as a fund-raiser for the victims of the Genoa floods in November.
Manchester City will play against a united team of Genoa and Sampdoria players, coached by Gianluca Vialli, Sven Goran Eriksson, Stefano Eranio and Osvaldo Bagnoli.
"We can do something wonderful for the city of Genoa, where I lived for 15 years and therefore feel a little bit as my own home.
"Sheikh Mansour and the club immediately gave the all-clear for this event. It wasn't easy to find a date, as we have a particularly packed schedule, but we managed it and are happy to give a helping hand.""There are many of us here at City who are tied to Sampdoria, so it was no question we'd accept this invite," Mancini told the official Samp website.
