Man City boss Mancini furious with own agent over Barry sale rumours

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is furious with his own agent!

He has blasted Giorgio De Giorgis for suggesting he could be willing to use England star Gareth Barry as bait in a deal to lure Ezequiel Lavezzi to Eastlands.

De Giorgis blew Mancini's cover earlier this week when he revealed the club's pursuit of Lavezzi, says the Daily Star.

And he said: "City's interest in Lavezzi could be a reality. City have been negotiating for the past few months with Napoli.

"But 31 million euros for Lavezzi - I think it's excessive. However, City could include a player in the deal. The only one could be Barry."

Mancini has hit out at De Giorgis and insisted Barry is not for sale. The City boss released a statement via a club spokesman, saying: "De Giorgis is not mandated by the football club to deal with transfers, in or out, at Manchester City.

"There is no intention to sell Gareth Barry, who remains a valued member of the team."
