Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini hopes to snap up Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera this summer.
The People says Mancini will pluck midfielder Herrera, one of Spain's rising stars, from Athletic Bilbao in a £15million swoop as City send out a message of intent to their title rivals.
Club wheeler-dealer Brian Marwood and Spanish scout Rob Newman were in Spain last week to see him in action and are ready to discuss a fee.
