Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has Manchester United well within his sights.
The ex-Inter Milan coach, who has won trophies with each of his previous clubs, is acutely aware that City have been in United's shadow for decades.
Last summer Sir Alex Ferguson described them as a small club with a small mentality - which makes him even more determined to pull down the famous Old Trafford banner mocking the Blues' lack of success.
He said: "Is this about to change? Yes. For us this is the ideal time.
"Hopefully, we will be able to take down this banner. We will try. We need to think positively this season."
