Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has left the door open for Shaun Wright-Phillips to leave.
Mancini has told Wright-Phillips he can still play a part in the remainder of the season if he regains his form.
Mancini said: "He is an important player but I understand he could be like Emmanuel Adebayor in that he has lost his confidence.
"He has not played many games. If Shaun stays here, it is important he finds his confidence."
