Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini admits he's a big fan of Napoli midfield schemer Marek Hamsik.

After catching the eye with Napoli, the 22-year-old has been linked with all the biggest clubs in the Premier League during his time in Italy.

Now City boss Mancini has gone public with his admiration for the playmaker's talents.

"When I coached Inter, I asked for Hamsik," revealed Mancini to the Italian media.

"I really wanted the Slovakian but Napoli were quicker than us.

"I am not at all surprised that the major European clubs are interested in him.

"He is a real talent."
