Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has again revealed how happy management are with their deal for former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez.
Hughes said: "We were aware of that situation as everybody else was.
"So when the opportunity came up at the end of the loan to approach Carlos with an idea that we felt would be attractive to him, then that's what we did.
"And we're all absolutely delighted that he chose to join us.
"It's a big move for him, given his connection to Manchester United, but I think he understands what we're trying to do at City and he's really excited by the prospect.
"For us to be able to attract a world-class striker, which Carlos obviously is, is a real feather in our cap, and we're absolutely thrilled that he's with us."
