Mark Hughes says Chelsea have only themselves to blame in missing out on record Manchester City signing Robinho.

City boss Hughes said: "Chelsea were not prepared to go to the asking price for Robinho - so we showed we valued his worth more than them.

"We showed how highly we valued the player, so he has no problems with being here rather than Chelsea at all."
