Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has held crisis talks with his board.
The Daily Mail says Hughes went straight into an emergency meeting with club executives after Saturday's 3-0 home FA Cup defeat by Nottingham Forest and demanded that West Ham midfielder Scott Parker and Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz are at Eastlands in the next 48 hours.
It is understood Hughes is frustrated City have not moved quickly enough and have become too embroiled in lengthy haggling, with selling clubs increasing their asking prices because of City's riches.
