Manchester City boss Mark Hughes says Craig Bellamy could be fit for the second-leg of their UEFA Cup tie at Aalborg.
The Wales striker was expected to be missing for up to six weeks with a knee injury he picked up at West Ham on March 1.
"Craig will be in the squad and might be an option for us," said Hughes. "We are going to take him with us and see how he reacts.
"It is probably a bit soon for this week, but we will definitely look to have him involved at the weekend."
Despite the Cardiff-born player's lack of recent match action, Hughes will have no problem with Bellamy linking up.
"If he is fit and well after the weekend, he will go," said Hughes.
"He will want to go. Craig doesn't like missing Wales games."
