Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is weighing up the captaincy of Richard Dunne.
The Daily Mail says Hughes will re-assess the position of Dunne as captain of Manchester City at the end of the January transfer window.
The City manager fears the responsibility may be contributing to Dunne's uncertain form and has considered handing the armband to someone else.
If Hughes decides a change is necessary, the prime candidate would be fans' favourite Shaun Wright-Phillips, with transfer window target Scott Parker another possibility if the club can sign the midfielder from West Ham.
