Man City boss Hughes keen on Blackburn defender Samba

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is keen on Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba.

The Daily Star says Hughes signed Samba for Blackburn in January last year for £396,000 from Hertha Berlin.

And the 6ft 5in giant, nicknamed King Kong, remains firmly on the City manager's radar.

So, too, does Samba's team-mate, striker Roque Santa Cruz, for whom Hughes bid £14m in the summer.
