Manchester City boss Mark Hughes says the action Michael Johnson saw in their defeat to Brighton was the one plus from their Carling Cup disappointment.
Hughes told City's website: "The injury has been hampering him, but he needs to train and play if he can. It's an issue that we need to get on top of, but he will be better for the game on Wednesday. There'll be discomfort but the question is whether it's manageable. He looked mobile, he was involved in the game and did OK in the circumstances."
