Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is happy with his first weeks at Eastlands.

He told City's website: "It's about getting to know people as well, I've only been here for a couple of weeks so it's been about introducing myself and getting my message over to the staff that are here. I'm trying to put over where we want to go and how we intend to do it. There have been a lot of meetings, a lot of introductions but it's exciting and I can't wait to get started properly.

"In a way it is a bit of a shame that there are still a couple of weeks until the players come back, but it will come around very quickly and then we can get stuck in."
