Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is determined to prise Roque Santa Cruz away from Blackburn Rovers.
The News of the World says Hughes is willing to make a double-your-money £12million bid for the Paraguayan international who cost him £6m from Bayern Munich last summer.
But new Rovers boss Paul Ince is holding out for £15m for Santa Cruz.
