Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has defended Robinho's struggles away from Eastlands.

Hughes said: "When you are away from home, the onus is on the home side to stop your attacking threat.

"Space is at a premium and Robinho has been affected by that. If you do give him room, though, he has the ability to hurt you."
