Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has again highlighted the form of Stephen Ireland this season.

The 22-year-old has been instrumental recently for City and ironically cost nothing after working his way up from the academy ranks since the age of 15.

Hughes added: "If you play well you will always have a future here. The prime example I keep throwing in is Stephen Ireland."
