Man City boss Guardiola charged by FA over yellow ribbon

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been charged by the FA for wearing his yellow ribbon.

Guardiola has been charged by The FA with the Manchester City boss breaching the kit and advertising regulations with a political message in the form of a yellow ribbon.

A statement read: "Pep Guardiola has been charged for wearing a political message, specifically a yellow ribbon, in breach of The FA's kit and advertising regulations.

"He has until 6pm on Monday 5 March 2018 to respond to the charge."

Guardiola wore the ribbon in December in support for imprisoned Catalan politicians, adding that he would gladly accept whatever punishment came his way.

The City boss said: "If they want to suspend me - Uefa, Premier League, Fifa. It's OK".
