Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed two of his midfielders were wanted at Bayern Munich.
It emerged last week that Kevin de Bruyne, Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan were all on Bayern's radar.
"During my time at Bayern, we were interested in Leroy Sané and Kevin De Bruyne. But Sané was not ready to change and Bayern was not ready to pay a huge sum for De Bruyne," Guardiola told SportBild.
On Bayern's approach to transfer policy, Guardiola declared it was "very special".
"There were always big meetings and then decisions were made," he added.
