Man City boss Guardiola urges Barcelona sign Sagna

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has urged former club Barcelona to snap up Bacary Sagna.

The veteran fullback was released by City this summer and remains a free agent.

Guardiola, upon Sagna's departure, made contact with Barca about signing the former France international.

Don Balon says Barca, having initially ignored Guardiola's recommendation, are now seriously considering offering terms to Sagna.

Now 34, Sagna is yet to find a new club and may wait until after the transfer deadline falls this month in order to maximise his contract potential thanks to his free agent status.
