Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has paid tribute to former Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

Guardiola built up a strong working relationship with him after Laporta appointed him in 2008.

"[Laporta] was like a ray of sunshine, he was always impeccable with the players, he never pressured the coaches and the experience I had with him was always impeccable," he explained to RAC1.

City will soon meet Barca in the Champions League.

"It is always good to come home but it is just one game, nothing more," added Guardiola.
