Man City boss Guardiola to wear yellow ribbon at Wembley

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is expected to wear his yellow ribbon at Wembley today.

The Daily Mail says Guardiola is set to defy the Football Association and wear his yellow ribbon at Wembley on Sunday.

The Manchester City manager was charged for promoting a political message by way of support for jailed pro-independence Catalan politicians.

Guardiola, who has until March 5 to answer the charge, faces a fine or potentially a touchline ban if he continues sporting the ribbon.

He started pinning it to his coat and jumpers for matches and press conferences after Jordi Sanchez and Jordi Cuixart, who lead prominent separatist groups, became political prisoners.

The FA twice wrote to Guardiola issuing formal warnings which he ignored, and his decision on Saturday night was that he will wear the symbol on the touchline against Arsenal.
