Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola praised Sergio Aguero for allowing Raheem Sterling to take a late penalty in their rout of Watford.
Hat-trick hero Aguero gave the spotkick to Sterling, who duly converted in the 6-0 win.
Guardiola stated: “You have to be serious until the end, because you never know about goal difference.
“Sergio did it when he made an assist to Gabriel when he could have scored himself against Liverpool, so it's fine for me because we scored and it will give more confidence for Raheem."
