Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola may consider a positional change for Kevin de Bruyne.
De Bruyne was a key component in the Premier League champions' landslide title success last season - operating alongside David Silva in a playmaking role.
But he has revealed Guardiola believes he has the ability to be effective from a deeper position - similar to how he plays for his national team.
Speaking after Belgium's 3-0 win against Panama in their opening World Cup game, De Bruyne said: “Pep came to me and told me, 'I have seen it, you can also play in that position. Maybe you will play there for us one day too.'"
