Manchester City are preparing a massive bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Mirror says Lewandowski has all but sealed an exit from the Bavarian giants after questioning their ambition.

That leaves the door open for Pep Guardiola to rekindle his ­relationship with the 29-year-old.

Lewandowski prospered under the Spaniard — and bought into his favoured pressing game, which will be uppermost in City's mind if they need an alternative to Sergio Aguero when the January window opens.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been touted as possible destinations for Lewandowski but the striker's familiarity with his former boss could trump either of those ­rival suitors.
