Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is making a shock move for Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta.

Calciomercato.com says Guardiola has contacted Iniesta over a move to the Etihad.

The Barcelona midfielder is regarded as one of the best of his generation and had a great relationship with Guardiola during their time together at the Nou Camp.

The pair won three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues together in four years and now Guardiola wants to work with him again.

Iniesta has one year left on his deal with Barcelona and has yet to agree a new deal.
