Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is coy over their plans for Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte.

Laporte is set for the second-half of his City medical today.

Guardiola said, "If we take him, you will know it. He is an Athletic player right now.

"He's a player that interested us last year and that interests us now too.

"The championship? Many games are still to play. I prefer to be racing in all competitions compared to last year when it was not so. At this stage of the season every game is important."
