Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has likened Gabriel Jesus to Samuel Eto'o.

Guardiola and Eto'o won the Champions League together for Barcelona.

Gabriel is being likened to Ronaldo, but Guardiola says: "Not yet, he has everything to become one of the best strikers in the world, but he has to improve."

The Spaniard remembers how the two communicated for the first time: "I remember the first phone call, I wonder if we understood each other, since he spoke Portuguese and I spoke Spanish.

"He's a great guy, he never lets you down, he's a killer in the sixteen metres, he reminds me of Samuel Eto'o of Barcelona, we want to help him become an even better player.

"He will be here in the next few years, he has chosen us and we are proud of that, because he could also choose other big clubs."
