Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero can play together.

Guardiola insists the pair can form a strike partnership - but admits they initially struggled to work together.

“They played against Middlesbrough together and in the first half it was a disaster," said the Catalan. “The second half was much better.

“Both they have quality enough to see who wins the game for the side.

“Gabriel can play in the left side.

“They can do that. In Brazil Gabriel play most of the time on the left.

“Of course they can play together. It depends on their behaviour and mood."
