Pep Guardiola has identified Raheem Sterling's stoppage time winner against Bournemouth as the most important part of Manchester City's season so far.
The Sky Blues have been simply unstoppable this campaign. Undefeated on 22 points, Guardiola's side have racked up 29 goals in their eight league matches.
But the Spaniard believes their fortune could have been different had Sterling not bagged the winner at Vitality Stadium back in August.
"It was so important. In the first game for example we went to Brighton away and then Bournemouth, and at that moment they had zero points in the table, winning in the last minute was so, so important, before the international break. After that came Liverpool and we were able to win.
"The Bournemouth win helped us a lot in terms of confidence."
